Oregon Dunes

From Crater Lake to the Oregon Dunes is a beautiful trip on the coastal highway 101, which is similar to the coastal highway in California.  Similar, but not the same.  The Oregon coast is steeped with high timber country for a good part of the way north until you get close to the Florence area and the many National Parks, Recreation Areas, and Campgrounds available.  I choose the Siltcoos National Recreation area to camp and the Waxmyrtle Campground within.  Beatiful, quiet and close to many scenic areas.  Old Town in Florence, Lighthouses, Sea Lions, Beaches, and of course the Dunes, which is what I came for.  The Dunes are a hike to get to in order to really apreciate their beauty, but well worth it.  I have not put these photos in any particual order.  They speak for themselves.  Sit back, there are many.  Enjoy.  TC...
Remember the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks?  This is Zoltar.

Hiking In Crater Lake

I previously mentioned a few hikes I took around the Crater Lake area.  Enjoy a few pictures of two of the many "falls" hikes available there.
